While teaching positive discipline classes, Suzanne saw a need for tangible, evidence-based tools and toys to help parents and educators apply the science of positive discipline into their everyday lives, particularly when they were feeling stressed or their children were acting out.

Prior to her work with GENM, Mary served as the Chief Operating Officer for St. Louis Public Schools, leading Operations and Finance for over 70 schools and 25,000 students. Earlier in her career, she held various leadership roles at Anheuser-Busch, where she oversaw the world-famous Clydesdale Operations, Hospitality Centers, Promotional Products, and Training and Development.
In addition to her role as COO of GENM, Mary serves as an Executive Career Coach for the Executive MBA program at Washington University and a facilitator and board member for Executive Connections, a local membership organization that supports executives in transition.
She has a B.S. in Systems Engineering and an M.B.A. from the University of Virginia.

She has over 10 years of experience in graphics and communication design and has been working with Suzanne from day one when she created the GENM logo. Courtney holds a BFA in fashion design from Parsons School of Design and spends her free time creating art or fashion, gardening or snuggling with her dog, Edgar, and husband, Zach.

Selina is a trauma informed practitioner that has over 20 years experience working with children and families in the areas of education, international development and advocacy. Her most recent work focused on developing programs to increase protective factors that promote resilience in children affected by domestic violence. Selina, a recent transplant to the St. Louis area from Atlanta, is a mom of a 5 yr old daughter, a bonus mom to a 14 year old son and the spouse of a law enforcement officer.
She will be working with GENM to bring you a new weekly segment, "That Friday Feeling: Parenting Pep Talks" which can be accessed via facebook live every Friday at 10:30am CST. Additionally, Selina will be providing written content for GENM as she continues to explore and process the intersectionality of being a Black woman in America and a Police Chief's wife, during a time when tensions between police and citizens have led to ongoing civil unrest throughout the country.

Traci has a masters in education and spent a decade teaching the littles of other families while waiting patiently for her rainbow baby. In 2013, she started a side hustle doing editing and academic consulting before starting a position in 2014 with oversight over charter school accountability. Once her rainbow girl arrived, Traci left the office in 2017 and never looked back. She knows the value of GENM tools because she used them as a parent before joining the GENM team. She feels blessed to join a powerhouse team of inspirational colleagues and work on editing content, and managing outreach and curriculum integration. Traci is a birth mom to a sweet and smart young man, momma to a precious and precocious little girl, proud dog mom, and wife to her best friend from high school. Outside of family time, her passions are all things related to music, art, nature, travel, gluten free food, and crafting.

Dr. Byron McClure is a National Certified School Psychologist currently redesigning a high school in Southeast, D.C. His work centers around influencing systemic change and ensuring students from high-poverty communities has access to a quality education. Dr. McClure has extensive knowledge and expertise in mental health, social emotional learning, and behavior.
Byron has done considerable work advocating for fair and equitable discipline practices for all students, particularly, for African-American boys. He has designed and implemented school-wide initiatives such as SEL, restorative practices, RTI, and trauma responsive practices. As a result of this work, led by Dr. McClure, his school recently won the 2019-2020 Whole Child Award.
Byron has presented across the country as a panelist, featured, and keynote speaker. He believes in the power of dreaming big to make dreams come true!

Jodi is a research neuropsychologist, with specific expertise in NeuroAIDS and structural imaging of the brain, at MIMH. Her work consists of local and international studies of NeuroAIDS in both pediatric and adult populations.
Dr. Heaps-Woodruff collaborates with researchers at Washington University school of medicine on cognition and brain imaging in inflammatory and genetic disorders. She has developed research protocols and statistical analysis plans, designed neuropsychological batteries, and created databases for integration of clinical, neuroimaging, and neuropsychological data.
Since joining the MIMH, Dr. Heaps-Woodruff has expanded her work to evaluate the Healthcare Home Initiative of MOHealthNet. This initiative is designed to enhance and integrate health care among individuals with mental health concerns and chronic disease, or multiple chronic illnesses. Through qualitative and quantitative analyses, she describes changes in the system of care as well as indicators of improved disease management.

Julie has completed continuing education on teaching trauma-informed yoga to youth through Street Yoga and Yoga Ed and Trauma Sensitive Yoga for sexual assault survivors. She earned her B.S. in behavioral neuroscience at Northeastern University and graduated from Loyola University Chicago with her M.D., completing both programs with honors. During training she completed the Medical Research Scholars Program at the National Institutes of Health. Through her research she aims to understand the biopsychosocial and epigenetic underpinnings between adversity and chronic disease, prevent and reverse the negative sequelae of adversity throughout the lifespan, and implement interventions that foster healthy early life family environments and skills that build resilience.

Lori has more than 30 years of experience working with families and children. She has witnessed first-hand the importance of supporting healthy parent-child relationships through adopting a trauma-informed approach to human services. Lori has worked with children as a mental health specialist, as a social worker in Texas and New Mexico, and in early education running childcare programs in Maryland and Virginia.
Since 2007, Lori has been the program developer and manager of the Stronger Together Supervised Visitation and Exchange Center for the Fairfax County Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court. Over the years Lori has taught parent education classes, worked with domestic violence programs, program development, grant funding, and court-wide family engagement initiatives.
On a national level, Lori serves on the Supervised Visitation Network as a board member. Locally, she is an active member of the Fairfax County Domestic Violence Network and collaborates on multiple Fairfax County teams. Lori is strongly supported through the local Fairfax interagency and community Advisory Board developed to support responsive community services for supervised visitation.

Robin trained in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics in the Urban Health Primary Care Med-Peds Residency Program at Johns Hopkins Hospital. She earned her B.S. in behavioral neuroscience at Northeastern University and graduated from Loyola University Chicago with her M.D., completing both programs with honors. During training she completed the Medical Research Scholars Program at the National Institutes of Health.

Lori has more than 30 years of experience working with families and children. She has witnessed first-hand the importance of supporting healthy parent-child relationships through adopting a trauma-informed approach to human services. Lori has worked with children as a mental health specialist, as a social worker in Texas and New Mexico, and in early education running childcare programs in Maryland and Virginia.
Since 2007, Lori has been the program developer and manager of the Stronger Together Supervised Visitation and Exchange Center for the Fairfax County Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court. Over the years Lori has taught parent education classes, worked with domestic violence programs, program development, grant funding, and court-wide family engagement initiatives.
On a national level, Lori serves on the Supervised Visitation Network as a board member. Locally, she is an active member of the Fairfax County Domestic Violence Network and collaborates on multiple Fairfax County teams. Lori is strongly supported through the local Fairfax interagency and community Advisory Board developed to support responsive community services for supervised visitation.
